Martin has also collaborated with\u00a0Ron Sexsmith,\u00a0Faultline,\u00a0the Streets, and\u00a0Ian McCulloch. He also sang a part of the vocals for the\u00a0Band Aid 20\u00a0single \u00ab\u00a0Do They Know It&rsquo;s Christmas?\u00a0\u00bb at the end of 2004. In 2005, Martin collaborated with\u00a0Nelly Furtado\u00a0on the track \u00ab\u00a0All Good Things (Come to an End)\u00a0\u00bb, for her 2006 album,\u00a0<em>Loose<\/em>. The two were once rumoured to be a couple, after they both performed at\u00a0Glastonbury\u00a0in 2002.\u00a0Nelly Furtado\u00a0joked about it, saying, \u00ab\u00a0Yeah, he&rsquo;s my boyfriend \u2014 he just doesn&rsquo;t know it yet\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Martin&rsquo;s fascination with\u00a0hip hop\u00a0was shown in mid-2006 when he collaborated with rapper\u00a0Jay-Z\u00a0for the rapper&rsquo;s comeback album,\u00a0<em>Kingdom Come<\/em>, after the two met earlier in the year.\u00a0Martin put some chords together for a song known as \u00ab\u00a0Beach Chair\u00a0\u00bb and sent them to Jay-Z who enlisted the help of hip-hop producer\u00a0Dr. Dre\u00a0to mix it. Coldplay producer\u00a0Rik Simpson\u00a0conceived and performed the drum beats. The song was performed on 27 September 2006 by the two during Jay-Z&rsquo;s European tour at\u00a0Royal Albert Hall. Martin has also worked on a solo collaboration with\u00a0Kanye West, with whom he shared an impromptu\u00a0jam session\u00a0during a 2006 concert at\u00a0Abbey Road Studios.\u00a0He performed the chorus of \u00ab\u00a0Homecoming\u00a0\u00bb, from Kanye West&rsquo;s album\u00a0<em>Graduation<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2015, Martin collaborated with DJ\u00a0Avicii\u00a0to work on two new tracks for his album\u00a0<em>Stories<\/em>. Their first collaboration was officially named \u00ab\u00a0Heaven\u00a0\u00bb. Martin wrote the lyrics, Avicii did the production, and Simon Aldred of\u00a0Cherry Ghost\u00a0was the vocalist.\u00a0He also provided the vocals for Avicii&rsquo;s True Believer, also in\u00a0<em>Stories<\/em>.
